Grant Applications

  • Applicants are allowed only 1 grant per all exhibiting years.
  • All applicants must send WCYF Grant Committee proof of purchase before funds will be released.
  • Applications must be submitted before April 1 of each year. 
  • Applicants may be interviewed about their project by the Grant Committee at their discretion. 
  • Grant winners will be mailed an announcement following youth fair.

In Memory of...

JAY PAUL

Jay Paul, age 41, died suddenly at his Custer area home on Saturday, July 19, 2003  as the result of a land clearing accident.  He helped to start the Lawn Mower Pull Division and was the son of the Youth Fair founder Chris Paul.  His two children, wife and parents continued to be a part of Youth Fair for many years.

ELLEN COURTNEY

Ellen Courtney was a founding member of the Whatcom County Youth Fair. Ellen was on the board for more than 20 years. She served as a superintendent, 4-H leader. Ellen was a huge inspiration to all who met her.  

In Memory of...

MARK STAP

 Mark Stap,  went home to be with his Lord after a valiant battle with cancer.  He was just 19. Mark was a Youth Fair Exhibitor. His family has remained large supporters of the Whatcom County Youth Fair. Mark is missed by all who were blessed to know him. 


MISSION STATEMENT: We are dedicated to creating a positive and meaningful impact on youth and the community, while promoting agricultural education through hands on learning opportunities, fostering mentoring systems, encouraging personal growth, and instilling community values.
