Chris Paul was the founding manager and visionary behind the Whatcom County Youth Fair. Her legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched and the lessons she imparted. The fair itself stands as a testament to her unwavering commitment and to our fair and community.

Jay Paul, age 41, passed away suddenly at his Custer-area home on July 19, 2003, as the result of a land-clearing accident. Jay helped establish the Lawn Mower Pull Division and was the son of Youth Fair founder Chris Paul. His wife, children, and parents continued their active involvement and support of the WCYF.

Ellen Courtney was a founding member of the Whatcom County Youth Fair and served on its board for more than 20 years. She dedicated over three decades as a 4-H leader for the Country Cousins 4-H group, in addition to being a Camp Fire leader, Boy Scout leader, and a tireless volunteer for WCYF and VFW.
MISSION STATEMENT: We are dedicated to creating a positive and meaningful impact on youth and the community, while promoting agricultural education through hands on learning opportunities, fostering mentoring systems, encouraging personal growth, and instilling community values.
