After much careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the Whatcom County Youth Fair to 2026. This decision comes as we continue to recover from the long-term effects of the pandemic, which caused a two-year hiatus and has left us facing significant challenges, particularly in volunteer support and finances—further compounded by inflation.
We remain dedicated to revitalizing the fair and staying true to Chris Paul’s original mission. Our focus in 2025 will be on regrouping, strengthening our foundation, and creating meaningful opportunities for both youth and the broader community. While we will not host the fair this year, we are excited to introduce the Chris Paul Memorial Scholarship, along with other grants and scholarships, to support our youth.
We urgently need volunteers to help shape the fair’s future and ensure its long-term success. Your support is essential, and together, we can rebuild an event that will once again unite our community. More information on volunteer opportunities, fundraising, scholarships, and grants will be shared soon.
